Robert Lence has been a major contributor on some of the most famous and successful films in the history of animated features at Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks. His work includes such all-time hit films as Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Toy Story, A Bug's Life and Shrek.
Robert served as Co-Head of Story on Pixar's original Toy Story, the first-ever computer animated feature film. He was one of the story co-creators of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
In his thirty-year career, Robert has worked as a Director, Head of Story, Screenwriter, Visual Development Artist, Storyboard Artist and Story Consultant, helping create original characters, writing dialogue and shaping the story on over a dozen major-release animated features.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Robert also attended the California Institute of the Arts’ highly renowned Character Animation program for two years. He still serves as an Animation Story Professor and Story Consultant at Cal Arts.
A native of New York City, Robert has worked, taught and lectured on animation in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London, Rome, Czech Republic, Russia, China, South Korea, Mexico and Uruguay.
Academy Award Nominee for Best Short Animated Film, Geefwee’s professional career started at Disney. Since that time Geefwee has worked in Story and Visual Development for Pixar, ILM, DreamWorks, and others on films including Finding Nemo, A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas and The Little Mermaid.
Both his character and environment designs for film have been published in books, including The Art of Monsters Inc., The Art of The Incredibles and The Art of Finding Nemo. A number of his paintings and drawings were also selected for exhibition at MOMA in New York as part of a Pixar Art retrospective.
The opening title sequence to Monsters Inc., which received high critical acclaim was conceived, storyboarded and designed by Geefwee, who also directed the animation. Along with being included in the Ten Best Children's Illustrated Book-New York Times Book Review, he also received the Best Illustrated Book Award-National Cartoonists Society. Geefwee attended the California Institute of the Arts. ∎
Jorgen Klubien is a renowned director, screenwriter,
storyboard artist, designer and animator.
His animation background spans over 25 years, including working at Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks.
He developed the original feature film story idea for CARS and was co-writer for the film.
At DreamWorks, he was Development & Storyboard Artist and worked on Shrek Forever After and How to Train Your Dragon.
He was Story Developer & Screenwriter at Pixar
Animation Studios, working on A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc. and Toy Story 2.
